Errors in Confidence Intervals

PMCID: PMC13624910  PMID: 42809295

In the Original Investigation titled “Bivalent RSV Prefusion F Protein–Based Vaccine for Preventing Cardiovascular Hospitalizations in Older Adults: A Prespecified Analysis of the DAN-RSV Trial,” published in the October 28, 2025, issue of JAMA, a coding error caused incorrect calculation of the confidence intervals for vaccine effectiveness. These confidence intervals have been corrected in the Abstract, Results section of the text, Figure 2, Figure 3, Table 2, and Supplement 3. None of the corrected confidence intervals change the statistical interpretation of the results, no point estimates or P values are affected, and the overall conclusions of the study are unchanged. The accompanying Editorial has also been updated to reflect the changes. These articles were corrected online.
