The authors retract the article titled “Synthesis of Metal–Organic Framework-Based ZIF-8@ZIF-67 Nanocomposites for Antibiotic Decomposition and Antibacterial Activities” (DOI: 10.1021/acsomega.3c07606) due to concerns regarding the integrity of the XPS and EDS data, which has resulted in a loss of confidence in the results presented. In Figure 13, the two spectra show unexpectedly similar noise patterns, which raises questions about the reliability of the data. In Figure S3, peaks in the EDS spectra appear to be incorrectly labeled and do not corroborate the claimed chemical composition. The raw data for these experiments is no longer available to resolve the concerns. As such, the article is being retracted.
