Following publication of the original article [1], the authors would like to update the information under the Animal subsection of the Methods section.

The incorrect text reads: "Cep89em1Dkl/KMPC (Cep89MUT) mice were generated by obtaining embryonic stem (ES) cells targeted in the Cep89 locus from the Korea Mouse Phenotyping Center (KMPC). To produce targeted mice, ES cells were further processed for blastocyst injection and chimera production. Chimeric mice were bred with C57/BL6N wild-type mice to confirm the germline transmission. Genotypes were performed using PCR with appropriate primers flanking the targeted region of Cep89."

The correct text should read: "Cep89em1Dkl/KMPC (Cep89MUT) mice were generated by the Korea Mouse Phenotyping Center (KMPC) using CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing on a C57BL/6N background. Two single-guide RNAs (sgRNAs) flanking exon 4 of the Cep89 locus were co-injected with Cas9 into C57BL/6N zygotes, yielding a targeted allele with a 332-bp deletion and a 10-bp insertion at exon 4. Founder mice were bred with C57BL/6N wild-type mice to establish the line and confirm germline transmission. Genotypes were determined by PCR using primers flanking the targeted region of Cep89."

The original article [1] has been corrected.
