Abstract

Four different illustrative examples of single unit data from the cochlear nucleus of anesthetized cats are presented. The spontaneous activity of each of these four units can be quantitatively described by the histogram of interspike intervals and by other related measurements. Several descriptive models are suggested by these measurements.
