Abstract
Aminopterin, a cytotoxic agent, causes mitotic arrest by interfering with the catabolism of ribonucleoprotein. The effects on the small intestine are demonstrated. The resulting atrophy, with changes in the microvilli, is associated with severely impaired fat absorption.
