Abstract

We report a fatal case of adult coeliac disease complicated by ulcerative enteritis and chronic liver disease. Macroscopically the liver was characterised by multiple, small depressions over the whole surface. The portal tracts were infiltrated by mononuclear cells and also scattered, large atypical cells of uncertain origin. Neither feature has been reported previously.
