The depression of the immune response by serum protein fractions

Abstract

A number of serum protein fractions were tested for their ability to suppress the immune response of rats injected with washed sheep cells. Significant depression of the immune response was produced by human serum proteins, and by bovine α-globulin fractions. The mechanism of this effect is at present not clear.
