Abstract

MEV infective feces, half-buried in the ground for 9 months, (from November to July), contained infectious virus when inoculated into susceptible hosts. It is believed that MEV in feces, if protected by favorable environmental conditions, is capable of infecting mink for an indefinite period beyond nine months.
