Aspirin could be used to prevent cancer

Reading the BMJ in mid-March, you may have thought that our news was a bit old—this aspirin report by Owen Dyer (15 March, p 565) appeared to be based partly on two papers published in 2002. This was the result, however, of an editing slip; the correct reference in the second paragraph should have read: “New England Journal of Medicine (2003;348:883-90 and 891-9).”
