Polyostotic Fibrous Dysplasia with Raised Steroid Excretion

Abstract

Four female patients with polyostotic fibrous dysplasia and sexual precocity are presented in detail. Two of the patients suffered spontaneous fracture of the femur.

Steroid excretion was raised in 3 out of the 4 girls, but excretion of total urinary gonadotrophins was normal in 2 of them.
