Design and results of the CLASSICS trial: 335 patients in each group were treated for 28 days. Primary end point: cluster of major bleeding, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and other early discontinuation for non-cardiac cause. Secondary end point: cluster of major cardiac events (myocardial infarction, sudden death, subacute thrombosis).
