High court upholds General Medical Council's rejection of case against neurologist

This news article by Clare Dyer (published online on 6 Jan, 10.1136/bmj.39084.423657.DB) contained some inaccuracies. The article said that Professor Simon Shorvon had been found guilty of serious professional misconduct by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC); in fact, the charge was of professional misconduct. We also implied that it was only the allegations in an article in the Guardian newspaper in January 2003 that prompted the GMC to start investigating possible disciplinary action; in fact, Professor Shorvon also referred his own case to the GMC.
