The paper by Kirchberger et al. (2006) contains an error on page 32. Figure 2B should have appeared as: The paper by Kondo et al. (2006) contains several errors, which are corrected below.

Figure 2.

Figure 2

The last sentence of the Abstract should have been omitted.

On page 132, column 2, the units μm were incorrectly labelled and should have read μm.

On page 138, the first line in the legend for Fig. 6A should have read:

Figure 6.

Figure 6

A, ICa,L recorded during a voltage-clamp protocol using a 500 ms depolarizing step to 0 mV from an HP of –40 mV.’

On page 140, the legend for Fig. 7A should have read:

‘Figure 7. Ca2+ currents elicited by RV and LV endocardial AP clamp waveforms in myocytes from RV or LV endocardium

A, Ca2+ currents recorded during an RV AP (continuous line) and LV endocardial AP (dashed line) in an RV myocyte (left panel) and an LV endocardial myocyte (right panel). Trains of either 20 RV AP clamp waveforms or 20 LV endocardial AP clamp waveforms were applied at 2 Hz. Following leak-subtraction, the inward current was averaged over the entire train of current recordings. INa was blocked by 30 μm TTX and K+ currents were blocked by isotonic replacement of K+ by Cs+, and addition of 10 mm TEA and 2.5 mm 4-AP (see Methods).’

The last sentence of page 143 should have read:

‘Thus, our conclusion that variations in AP waveform differences can produce myocyte contraction could in parallel, e.g. a mechanism involving could be modulated by differential phosphorylation.”

The publisher regrets these mistakes.

The authors of Holloway et al. (2006) would like to publish the following corrected Fig. 6:
