 Dobutamine stress echocardiography: protocol A for assessment of myocardial ischaemia; protocol B for assessment of myocardial viability. It is recommended that baseline and peak images always be captured for digital comparison. Based on clinical necessity and laboratory preference, the remaining two images may be a combination of low stress, intermediate stress, post-atropine, or recovery images.

 Dipyridamole stress echocardiography, protocol for assessment of myocardial ischaemia. *If there is no adverse effect, clinical or echocardiographic end point occurs, then an additional 0.28 mg/kg is infused over two minutes. As with dobutamine, atropine can be used to increase heart rate.
