Response of Pregnant Human Uterus to Prostaglandin-F2α-induction of Labour*

Abstract

Labour was successfully induced in 10 women at or near term with prostaglandin F infusion. In no case was there an increase in the resting tone of the myometrium, and complete relaxation between contractions was recorded.
