Abstract
One hundred and fifty children who had no measurable serum measles antibody were vaccinated with live measles virus. All showed post-vaccinal serum antibody levels generally considered sufficient to prevent measles.
One hundred and thirty-nine (93%) of the infants and children demonstrated one or more symptoms following vaccination. In view of their generally mild and limited nature, and of the protection subsequently afforded, this procedure would seem to be a real advance in preventive medicine.
