Abstract

Forty-eight infants with seborrhea capitis were treated with a preparation containing a polypeptide—fatty acid complex and tyrothricin in a propylene glycol vehicle, to determine if this material was non-toxic and if it was effective in the treatment of infantile seborrheic dermatitis. In this uncontrolled study, the preparation was effective in 45 of 48 infants so treated; a possible mild sensitivity reaction was observed in one infant.
