Former plastic surgeon Liverpool (b 1924; q Liverpool 1948; FRCS), d 18 August 2003.
She started her career as a house officer at the former Smithdown Road Hospital in Liverpool. She practised surgery in and around Liverpool and then specialised in plastic surgery. She helped to set up the first plastic surgery unit in Liverpool, at Whiston Hospital. In 1965 she joined a missionary surgery and medical centre in Uganda, spending four years there. She returned to the United Kingdom in 1969 because of ill health. After a holiday, she joined a medical practice in Penny Lane, Liverpool, retiring in 1983.
