The Pacific Northwest Regional Health Sciences Library: A Centralized Operation *

Abstract

The Pacific Northwest Regional Health Sciences Library is described in relation to its health manpower and library population. Among the services which it provides are a document delivery service. A computer system provides a reporting system which analyzes trends in the borrowing pattern; these patterns are discussed, and some unusual features explained. Publicity campaigns have been conducted. The influence of a centralized library service on other libraries is discussed.
