Abstract
In a series of 156 thyrotoxic patients treated with low doses of radioactive iodine the therapeutic dose was calculated by means of a sliding scale in which the dose level was varied according to the estimated size of the gland. Of the patients so treated 56·5% achieved a remission with a single dose of 131I. The incidence of hypothyroidism at one year was 5%.
