In the above article by Hawkey et al. [1], there was an error published in the conclusion section of the abstract. The text reading ‘Like non-selective NSAIDs, selective COX-2 inhibitors are associated with an increased risk of MI’ should read ‘Like selective COX-2 inhibitors, non-selective NSAIDs are associated with an increased risk of MI’.
