Lysosomal Involvement in Liver Cell Vacuolation by Hypoxia

Abstract

Rats were subjected to various periods of hypoxia, killed and liver slices were examined for acid phosphatase by conventional microscopy. The results provide clear-cut evidence that lysosomes are involved in the course of liver cell vacuolation by hypoxia.
