Abstract
Pathological studies of myocardium at intervals up to one year after embolization of the left circumflex coronary artery in dogs have shown that the changes are those of a granulomatous myocarditis and arteritis rather than infarction, and suggest that this technique does not provide a suitable model for the study of acute infarction or chronic ischaemic heart disease.
