Abstract

The action of NaCl upon the effect of MgCl2 upon oxalate buffer systems, interpreted by Simms as an instance of antagonism of Na+ and Mg++, has been shown to be capable of formulation as the effect of increasing ionic strength upon the dissociation of MgC2O4 into magnesium and oxalate ions.
