The incidence and management of female breast disease in a general practice

Abstract

A retrospective study is reported of 180 women with breast symptoms consulting at a group practice during a 27-month period. The management policies of the general practitioners are discussed in the light of the observed short-term outcomes and of proposals to introduce screening clinics for breast cancer.
