Although medical applications of computerization are becoming more common, most physicians do not have experience with computers. In response to this need the Department of Pathology at The University of Michigan offers an elective one month rotation as part of the Pathology Training Program. The design and content of this rotation is discussed. The benefits are mentioned and the place for computer sciences in medical education is considered.
