Abstract
This project is developing and demonstrating a low-cost microcomputer-based medical office data management system. The system is aimed at the specific needs of small primary care medical practices, in particular, those located in rural areas.
System capabilities include full-function accounting, billing of individual patients and third parties, automatic generation of certain governmental grant reports and several elementary quality assurance functions.
Demonstration of the completed system is scheduled at 4 clinics, one of which involves a central billing location and 3 satellites. The systems will be installed by the end of 1980 at which time a one-year period of evaluation will begin.
