In the article entitled, Heme Oxygenase-1 Modulates Early Inflammatory Responses: Evidence from the Heme Oxygenase-1-Deficient Mouse, published in the September 2004 issue (Am J Pathol 2004, 165:1045– 1053), Figure 1 appeared incorrectly. The correct figure appears below.

Figure 1-6758.

Figure 1-6758

Histological evaluation of tissues from heme oxygenase-1 deficient (HO-1−/−) mice. A: Hematoxylin-eosin staining of the spleen from the wild-type (HO-1+/+, left panel) and HO-1−/− (right panel) mice (age 8–12 weeks). Insets in both panels represent staining for HO-1 in the spleen using a polyclonal rabbit anti-rat HO-1 antibody (brown color). B: Iron staining with Prussian blue (arrows) of kidney (K) and liver (L) tissue from HO-1−/− (left panel) and HO-1+/+ (right panel) mice (age 24 weeks). Bar = 100 μm.

In the article entitled, Molecular Genetic Evidence for Monoclonal Origin or Bilateral Ovarian Serous Borderline Tumors, published in the April 2003 issue (Am J Pathol 2003, 162:1095–1101), the authors wish to note a typographical error in the formula presented on page 1096. The results reported in their article were not affected by this error, as the actual statistical calculations were done using the correct formula, which appears below:
