Comment to the article “Impaction allograft with cement for the revision of the femoral component. A minimum 39-month follow-up study (SJ Yim et al.)”

Sir,

In their excellent article Drs. Soo-Jae Yim, Min-Young Kim, and Yoo-Sung Suh inform us about the original diagnoses of the 56 revision cases treated between 1998 and 2003 but fail to mention how long after primary arthroplasty the revision of the femoral component was required.

It is assumed that they were revising Exeter stems whose survival characteristics have been the subject of debate in the past. Such information would have added considerably to the interest of the paper.
