IL-1α transcripts are present in primary breast cancer. Total RNA from breast tumor samples (T) and normal tissues that surround the tumor (N) was subjected to RT-PCR by using primers specific to IL-1α (Top), keratin 19 primers (Middle), or ribosomal protein gene 36B4 (Bottom).
