End-user information utilities in the health sciences.

Abstract

Electronic information utilities in the health sciences such as MINET (Medical Information Network) are increasingly important as it becomes more convenient for end users to retrieve data and use various online information services such as electronic mail from personal computer workstations. MINET is examined in depth as the most fully developed end-user utility. Several other end-user utilities and full-text databases in the health sciences are listed and described.
