OKT4, but not OKT8, inhibits the expansion of γδ T cells in response to Daudi cells.3×105 irradiated Daudi cells were cocultured with 106 responder PBMC and the either OKT8 (c) or OKT4 (d) at 4 μg/ml. Lymphocytes were harvested, stained with FITC-conjugated anti-γ/δ-1 TCR, and analysed by flow cytometry. Data shown are FACS profiles of 5000 gated lymphocytes. The percentage of γδ TCR+ T cells is indicated in each panel. OKT4 inhibited the expansion of γδ T cells (d), but OKT8 did not (c).
