Recessive genetic control of T-cell responses occurs following immunization with whole protein, but not with synthetic peptide. Following in vivo priming of mice (five per group) with either the recombinant 16 000-MW protein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (rPT16) (a) or p111–130 (b), lymph node (LN) cells were stimulated in vitro with 3 µg/ml of 111–130 peptide.
