Should “policlinics” replace “polyclinics”?

The spellcheckers of my English and French computers accept both polyclinic and policlinic. Etymology suggests that the focus of polyclinic is the multiple competences of the heath professionals while that of policlinic (Greek: polis, the town) is proximity. Might spelling influence the current discussions?1
