Calculation of K_m and V_max from Substrate Concentration Versus Time Plot

Abstract

A simple method for the calculation of kinetic parameters (K_m, V_max) under conditions of changing substrate concentrations is presented. An application of the method to detect shifts in groups involved in the utilization of a substrate in a mixed microbial culture is given.
