Distinctive Renal Lesion of Spirochete-Infected Brine Shrimp

Abstract

In spirochete-infected Artemia, the renal tubule exhibited a lesion consisting of a group of spirochetes situated in an indentation of the base of the epithelium and involving discontinuity of the basal lamina.
