Abstract

Degenerative spondylolisthesis is a phenomenon in which the posterior elements undergo degenerative change allowing one vertebra to slip forward on another. The sequela of degenerative spondylolisthesis may be instability and/or nerve root entrapment with or without chronic pain. Patients with this condition may be treated with mobilization and manipulation, however, this must be done with caution. The case reported illustrates the successful treatment of degenerative spondylolisthesis with spinal manipulative therapy.
