Serine Biosynthesis in Desulfovibrio desulfuricans

Abstract

Cell-free extracts of Desulfovibrio desulfuricans possess enzymes which catalyze the synthesis of serine from 3-phosphoglycerate via the intermediates phosphohydroxypyruvate and phosphoserine.
