Correction for Kyrylyuk and van der Schoot, Continuum percolation of carbon nanotubes in polymeric and colloidal media

APPLIED PHYSICAL SCIENCES. For the article “Continuum percolation of carbon nanotubes in polymeric and colloidal media,” by Andriy V. Kyrylyuk and Paul van der Schoot, which appeared in issue 24, June 17, 2008, of Proc Natl Acad Sci USA (105:8221–8226; first published June 11, 2008; 10.1073/pnas.0711449105), the authors note minor typographical errors. On page 8223, left column, second paragraph, line 9, ${\phi }_P\propto \left(\frac{\Delta }{D}\right)-1$)⁻¹ should instead appear as: ${\phi }_P\propto {\left(\frac{\Delta }{D}-1\right)}^{-1}$. In addition, on page 8225, left column, second full paragraph, line 9, $\epsilon \sqrt{(\Delta /D)-1}(L/D)D$ ≳ 1 should instead appear as: $\epsilon \sqrt{(\Delta /D)-1}(L/D)$ ≳ 1. These errors do not affect the conclusions of the article. Also, in the citation for ref. 15, the volume number 23 should have appeared as 25. The corrected citation is shown below.
