Abstract
Computer technology can be used by those over 65 for computer-assisted health instruction. Health instructional software for the population in general is new, and scant attention has been paid to developing programs for the elderly. In addition, computer and communication technology can be adapted for use by the elderly in conjunction with physicians and other health professionals for interactive health care. Awareness of the potential of computer and communication technology in caring for the health of older Americans is just emerging.
