Abstract

We have developed a computer-assisted hematology morphology data handling system to fulfill the specific needs of our service. The system is a Digital Equipment Corp. LSI-11 microcomputer with dual RX02 disk drives. The programs were written under the RT-11 operating system. This system is interfaced to our laboratory system, a Honeywell Model 716. It currently is used for online differentials and will be expanded in the near future. The technologists have found it easy to learn and use. It is a moderately-priced, flexible system which has facilitated our handling of differential and morphology data.
