Abstract

Dactylella oviparasitica, a fungus isolated from Meloidogyne egg masses, was shown to parasitize eggs on agar and in soil, when inoculated as either myceliunt or conidia. The fungus also grew saprophytically on eggs killed ,with methyl bromide or heat. The amount of parasitism in the laboratory suggested that the fungus may be a useful biological control agent against Meloidogyne.
