Erratum to “The origin of modern terrestrial life” by Patrick Forterre and Simonetta Gribaldo

In the Perspective entitled ‘The origin of modern terrestrial life’ by Patrick Forterre and Simonetta Gribaldo, HFSP Journal 1(3), 156–168 (2007), the caption to Fig. 1: “time in million of years” should read “time in billion of years.” In addition, in the paragraph Primitive atmosphere and oceans “It was noticed early on that the early Earth was in danger of freezing due to the low luminosity of the Sun, which was about 30% than it is today” should read “It was noticed early on that the early Earth was in danger of freezing due to the low luminosity of the Sun, which was about 30% less than it is today.” The online version has been corrected.
