Correction for Chen et al., Computational structure-based redesign of enzyme activity

PMCID: PMC2678652

BIOPHYSICS AND COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY Correction for “Computational structure-based redesign of enzyme activity,” by Cheng-Yu Chen, Ivelin Georgiev, Amy C. Anderson, and Bruce R. Donald, which appeared in issue 10, March 10, 2009, of Proc Natl Acad Sci USA (106:3764–3769; first published February 19, 2009; 10.1073/pnas.0900266106).

The authors note that due to a printer's error on page 3767, left column, first paragraph, the fifth sentence is partially incorrect. “The three double mutants T278D/A301G, and T278H/A301G, while acquiring new substrate activity, showed decreased specificity for Phe” should instead read: “The three double mutants T278D/A301G, T278K/A301G, and T278H/A301G, while acquiring new substrate activity, showed decreased specificity for Phe.” This error does not affect the conclusions of the article.
