Modified Pathologic Diagnosis (MPD) criteria. A&B. MPD positive includes the same features as for CPD. Additionally, focal chronic inflammation in any layer of the artery wall (arrow), including surrounding vasa vasora, are included. C&D. MPD indeterminate includes the same features as for CPD. Additionally, a focal concentric scar around the inner elastic lamina for any number of clock hours (between arrows) with loss of the inner elastic lamina (*) are included. E&F.
