Retraction for Wong et al., Estrogen receptor-interacting protein that modulates its nongenomic activity-crosstalk with Src/Erk phosphorylation cascade

PMCID: PMC2729043  PMID: 19666546

CELL BIOLOGY Retraction for “Estrogen receptor-interacting protein that modulates its nongenomic activity-crosstalk with Src/Erk phosphorylation cascade,” by Chi-Wai Wong, Christopher McNally, Elliot Nickbarg, Barry S. Komm, and Boris J. Cheskis, which appeared in issue 23, November 12, 2002, of Proc Natl Acad Sci USA (99:14783–14788; first published November 1, 2002; 10.1073/pnas.192569699).

The authors wish to note the following: “Although the biochemical data showing the ER-MNAR-Src interaction are valid, it is our view that the cell-based data demonstrating the MNAR dependency of ER-mediated activation of Src/Erk kinases are unreliable. The authors therefore wish to retract the article and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused other investigators.”
