ASGBI Meeting, 18–22 April 2009, New Orleans
The Society will be a guest society of the American Association of Anatomists (AAA) at the Experimental Biology 2009 meeting in New Orleans. This is a large annual multi-society meeting which will have many different research orientated symposia, some of which will be sponsored by the Anatomical Society (e.g. one on stem cells and another on morphological diversity). There will also be a number of educational sessions available which the Society is contributing to.
International Federation of Associations of Anatomists
The 17th Congress of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists will be held on 16–19 August 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa. Every four years the IFAA hosts a scientific congress which brings together anatomists and other scientists from around the globe. At this Congress a great array of diverse topics on the structure and function of the human and animal body including methods of teaching and learning anatomy and the history of anatomy are presented and debated.
