Abstract

A rapid, simple, modified heat-stable acid phosphatase and 68°C catalase test for the differentiation of mycobacteria is described. A total of 181 strains of mycobacteria, including 141 slow growers and 40 rapid growers, were investigated for acid phosphatase and catalase activities.
