Isolation and Characterization of a Lactose-Positive Strain of Proteus morganii

Abstract

The characterization of a lactose-positive Proteus morganii is presented. The increased incidence of such atypical microorganisms emphasizes the need for a thorough examination of Escherichia coli-like colonies by clinical microbiologists.
