Observed slopes are determined from the data shown in figure 5 and have an error of 5%. The calculated slopes are determined from equation (6) with ΔS = 12 cal/°K/ mole glucose monomer as determined previously at 13.9 Å and with ΔN_w determined at 20 °C integrating exclusion curves from 13.9 Å to ∞. Calculated slopes have an error of ~ 30%.
